About Us
We’re a new kind of school; a place where students have the freedom to forge their own paths. We use applied learning philosophies to help students in grades 9-12 actively engage in their classes and understand concepts in hands-on ways, with a curriculum rooted in collaboration and flexibility. Franklin encourages innovation and entrepreneurship — and, located in the heart of Jersey City — taps into the energy and history of both our location and legacy as a leader in education, which dates back to 1872.
Franklin students customize their courses based on their interests and passions, and can choose from a robust selection that includes both Advanced Placement and online classes. Our commitment to experience-based learning provides a particularly meaningful way for Franklin students to engage with, and appreciate, the cultures of the world, as they undertake close learning opportunities in our local community and the broader world around us, immersing themselves in new experiences, perspectives, and ideas.
